The Department of Physical Education came into existence along with the establishment of the college in the year 1968.
Since then it has been making rapid strides in the field of physical education presenting a good number of athlets, sports men at university, state, national and international level.
It in deed speaks of the sincere and dedicated service of the faculty of the physical education and the support of the management.
The college becomes a synonym for excellent sports men in rural games like, kho-kho and Kabaddi. Our young enthusiastic sports men have the credit of participating in different sports and games meets representing the affiliating university.
With the background of many achievements and laurels, the students are encouraged to take part actively in the sports and games activities. This has helped the institution to strengthen better facilities to the sports men.
The department of physical education has an academic advisory committee consisting of senior and enthusiastic faculty members. Their moral and physical support help the department to take up as many as intramurals and inter collegiate competitions.
The committee meets very often and takes all necessary decisions related to track and field. Normally principal as Ex-officio chairman chairs the meetings.
Apart from these the College Management is awarding Cash Prizes Rs. 1000/- each to all the players who represents University Level or National Level Sports & Games
